General : The Zanden 3000 is a reference tube preamplifier from Japan.

Technical : The Zanden 3000 is a very remarkable preamplifier. The Zanden 3000 has an external power supply. The rectification is performed by a single tube, the 6CA4. You rarely see that, and for purists this is the only way to do it right (read: musically). The internal wiring is pure solid core copper, shielded with teflon. The amplification is done by a single tube, the 5687 Dual Triode. That's it. A design can hardly be simpler than that. The entire circuit is 100% unbalanced with coupling transformers at the inputs and outputs. All sources are therefore galvanically isolated. The volume control itself is done by the very exclusive RK50 potentiometer. This ultra high-end audio potentiometer is made of solid copper, and has an ultra low channel deviation. Indestructible, and also one of the best sounding potentiometers that exists.

Listening : The Zanden 3000 sounds like the purest preamplifier you will ever hear. So open, pure and detailed is truly exceptional. You will rediscover your collection. The Zanden 3000 does not sound specifically warm, or cold, but simply very real. Honest. The source remains the master in this case. The better the source, the more you will hear it through the Zanden 3000. What stands out is that the high-end installation is stripped of all injustices. The image is suddenly 2 times larger and deeper, the sound just curls around you. Really very special. Without question comparable to the VAC Line reference preamplifier. This Zanden 3000 is in like-new condition, has received a new tube and is completely ready for many years of musical enjoyment at your home.
