General: The Ansuz Acoustics Speakz X3 is the latest entry-level speaker cable from Ansuz Acoustics from Denmark. The new Speakz X3 now belongs to the Steel Series from Ansuz Acoustics. The Steel Series from Ansuz is called the Steel Series because the gold-plated connectors are housed in a stainless steel (CRES 316) casing. The predecessor of the Speakz X3, the Speakz X2, had connectors in an aluminum casing. And for Ansuz Acoustics, that is a problem. Audio Group Denmark (which Ansuz falls under) is constantly researching different materials. Titanium, copper, stainless steel, and even zirconium are frequently used. Ansuz is working to completely avoid aluminum in its new products. Aluminum has a negative effect on sound, it creates an artificial tone through resonance behavior and induces hysteresis. Rather than solving the problems aluminum causes later, Audio Group Denmark chose to tackle the problem at the source and no longer use aluminum in its products. The conductors are silver-plated and stripped by a special machine to avoid damaging the conductor surface. The Ansuz Speakz X3 is a very tightly twisted cable that provides less noise in the conductors and improved mechanical stability. The Ansuz Speakz X3 is handmade at the Audio Group Denmark factory in Aalborg, Denmark.

Sound Characteristics: The Ansuz Acoustics Speakz X3 has a natural and lively sound. The bass is tight and rhythmic, and the dynamics are very good. Yet the sound remains within comfortable limits; it is transparent as it should be but without unnecessary spectacle, just like all other cables and products from Ansuz Acoustics. Everything you hear is pure music; we could talk about the body of the bass and the detail in the treble. But with Ansuz Acoustics, we don't need to talk about that; instead, we talk about the enormous musical qualities that Ansuz Acoustics products bring with them.
