General: High-end 2.5-way floor-standing loudspeakers from the renowned loudspeaker manufacturer Magico from the USA.

Technical: The Magico V2 features a very heavy and solid enclosure, consisting of 17-layer birch wood pressed firmly together. Tap the cabinet and you'll immediately notice the excellent density of the enclosure, which prevents virtually any resonances. The baffle is made of solid aluminum. Magico believes that wood is not a suitable material for mounting the drivers; screwing the drivers into aluminum creates a much sturdier and more durable construction. This thick aluminum also ensures that vibrations from the drivers transfer less into the enclosure and that enclosure vibrations transfer less back into the drivers. The Magico V-series were made before Magico switched to Beryllium tweeters and solid aluminum enclosures. The tweeter is a 1" ring radiator tweeter, and the woofers are made of Nano-tec carbon fiber in a sandwich design with Rohacell foam between the two carbon layers. Rohacell is a foam with excellent properties for music reproduction. These drivers are lightweight and barely distort. This Nano-tec construction is still used today in Magico loudspeakers such as the S3 MK3, albeit in a further developed version. Because the Magico V2 is built quite differently from modern Magico loudspeakers, it also sounds quite different.

Listening: The Magico V2 is an exceptionally atmospheric loudspeaker. It excels at conveying the ambiance of the recording venue to your listening room. Whether you're playing a jazz trio in a small café or a blues concert in a large hall, you effortlessly transport yourself to the recording location. The bass of the Magico V2 goes very deep but remains tight and musical thanks to the solid closed enclosure. The treble is more refined than modern Beryllium tweeters, and the midrange is natural, melodious, and pleasant to enjoy for hours. The Magico V2 are not the easiest loudspeakers to drive, so a high-quality amplifier is required—and these loudspeakers deserve it. You don't need hundreds of watts, but you do need high-quality watts.

This pair of Magico V2 is in excellent condition and comes with both the casters and the spikes that can be screwed under the loudspeakers.
