Technology: The Sonus Faber Lumina V is finished to a high standard according to Sonus Faber's specifications. Only natural materials are used for the cabinet and the units. The cabinet itself is a rectangular enclosure finished on all sides with genuine leather. The front is available in various finishes, namely high gloss black, or genuine wood veneer in dark Wenge or the lighter Walnut finish. The tweeter, midrange, and woofers are also made from natural materials; the two 6.5 inch woofers and the 6 inch midrange are made of paper composite, and the tweeter is an iconic D.A.D. (Damped Apex Dome) 29mm Kurtmüller silk dome tweeter which is also used in the higher Sonetto series by Sonus Faber, as is the 6 inch midrange which you'll also find in the Sonetto series. The Sonus Faber Lumina V distinguishes itself from the Lumina III not only because of its size, but also because in the Lumina V the tweeter and midrange are placed in a separate compartment in the cabinet.
