The Bricasti M5 is a network player and media renderer that connects your server with your music system. This via a stable network connection, or via WiFi. With broad support for many network protocols, such as DNLA, the Bricasti M5 delivers the perfect lossless audio data stream to your music system. Your server can be placed wherever you wish. The Bricasti M5 has the ultimate AES/EBU, SPDIF and special USB audio outputs for connection with your DA Converter. The Bricasti M5 does the processing. Nearly all sample rates are supported, from 16bit 44.1KHz to DSD 128.

Play from anywhere: The Bricasti M5 plays wired or wirelessly over your data network. Many customers use a separate music server, which can be stored anywhere in the house. You don't want the server in the listening room. The Antipodes servers solve the problem, but some don't want servers in the listening room. With the Bricasti M5 network player, you can place this pure audio source anywhere, separate from the server.

Pure sound: The Bricasti M5 is a dedicated DLNA and Roon Ready music player of the highest quality. Your ROON server immediately recognizes the Bricasti M5 as RAAT (Roon Advanced Audio Transport) and you can play directly to the M5. Simply put, raw audio data is delivered to the Bricasti M5 over the network, and the M5 then renders the data into the perfect digital data stream. This task is very important, the purer the digital data stream, the better the end result. This data stream is offered in its purest form via USB, or via AES/EBU and Spdif and the musical end result is the purest music you have ever experienced. Ohm-Audio BV recommends connection via a good network cable. That is always more stable than a WiFi connection. Once connected to your DA Converter, you experience the pure and super quiet digital outputs of the Bricasti M5.

Construction: The housing of the Bricasti M5 is entirely made from billet aluminum plates. This makes the housing, like all other Bricasti units, relatively free from resonances. Stiffer and tighter it cannot be. The power supply is a very high-quality linear design, the same as that in 1 channel of the Bricasti M1SE DA Converter. The USB output also has a special power line, and this USB output rises to great heights. You cannot get purer than this. The Bricasti M5 is therefore a network player and renderer. The Bricasti M5 receives raw data blocks from the server, converts them to audio files, and then to output protocols. Spdif, AES/EBU or dedicated USB. The USB output has the advantage that it also allows DSD and high resolution files to pass through unhindered. If you play DSD via the SPDIF or AES/EBU output, the DSD signal is converted to PCM 192KHz/32 bit. If you play DSD via the SPDIF or AES/EBU output, maximum DSD64 is achievable as DoP (DSD over PCM), then you need a DAC that accepts DoP, otherwise you can also play the DSD files as High Res PCM.
