General :

The Antipodes DS GT is the latest and incredibly good-sounding High End audio streamer from Antipodes New Zealand. Connect to the network, power and the DA Converter or amplifier, and start playing.

Technology :

The Antipodes DS GT runs on the latest mainboards, specially adapted for Antipodes, and with a very extensive external and internal power supply. In particular, the external power supply is clearly better than that of the DS Base. It is the new ODAPS power supply from Antipodes which is also built into the DX Reference server. The entire signal path that the digital signal travels from storage to the digital outputs is completely optimized for High End Audio reproduction. Ultra low noise levels in the power lines, and a heavily optimized software section and firmware. The DS GT has a dedicated SSD storage standard on board where all software and music library reside. Antipodes uses professional SSD drives which you cannot buy in the store, and Antipodes writes the firmware for them itself. All this to generate an optimal and reliable data stream for the digital outputs. The mainboard firmware is further adapted, and more RAM is installed. A CD Ripper is also built in. All your CDs are ripped fully automatically in the highest possible quality.

Software :

The Antipodes streamers all run with the latest software suite from Antipodes. This includes an App switcher to switch between Squeeze Box Server and ROON Ready. Roon is by far the finest and best sounding server software and has the finest and most intuitive control app for your iPad, iPhone, Android devices, or PCs and laptops. Making backups is also easy. Connect a USB drive with sufficient capacity, and click backup. It can be that simple.

The sound quality of the Antipodes DS Base is excellent, but the DS GT is clearly better. Tighter, more open, and more detail. You experience a new dimension compared to the most common other brand servers. It is clear to hear that Antipodes, like one of the few brands in the world, knows exactly what it is doing. The standard analog outputs are of good quality, but for true High End reproduction you should of course connect the Antipodes DS GT to the best possible DAC with USB or SPDIF connection.
