The Harbeth 30.1 Reference monitor is a further development of the famous LS 5/9A by Rogers. What is special about this design is that it is a relatively compact enclosure, yet with a full range sound. The walls are made of birch plywood, and are in principle lightly constructed and fitted with lead bitumen. This was done to spread the resonances rather than dampen them as much as possible. This is the new Harbeth 30.1, the current version, and it sounds wonderful. A beautiful midrange that is most reminiscent of a set of Quad electrostats. So beautifully open, pure and calm. The bass is tuneful, deep and not super tight, and the treble is pure and fresh, with a lot of detail. This set of Harbeth 30.1 comes with the original stands and is in mint condition, complete with packaging and manual.
