Technical : The Harbeth 40.2 is a large 3-way monitor speaker. It looks like it came straight out of the 1970s, but don't be fooled. The Harbeth 40.2 is packed with modern technology. Equipped with Harbeth's newly developed units for the bass and midrange. Resulting in incredibly low distortion. The technology is relatively conventional, but there's nothing wrong with that. The biggest upgrade is the completely redesigned crossover. The cabinet walls are relatively compliant and subsequently damped with bitumen. The cabinet's own resonance is therefore very low. No ringing from the enclosure and thus distortion-free reproduction is guaranteed. The woofer is large, powerful and well-damped and is supported by two bass reflex ports on the front.
