General : The latest Sonus Faber Guarneri, and the best of them all.

Technology : The new Sonus Faber Guarneri Tradition is a beautifully built compact loudspeaker with an integrated stand. The cabinet of the Guarneri Tradition is made of layers of Wenge wood, interrupted by aluminum strips. The top and bottom are made of a billet aluminum plate, with Wenge inlaid. The aluminum is brushed. The rear is a one-piece cast solid aluminum part, with an integrated bass reflex port. This port is a Stealth port, which makes it inaudible, so without annoying noise. The units themselves are also very special. The woofer is a compound cone, with a very powerful voice coil and a neodymium magnet. The tweeter also has a neodymium magnet, and a wood-milled backloading cabinet, whereby the natural resonance is extremely low. The stand is made of 2 heavy metal plates, which are clamped to the super-rigid carbon foot. The whole sits on anti-resonance spikes. The visual result and the sonic performance are 'stunning'.

Listening : We know all Sonus Faber Guarneri's inside and out, and they all sound without exception super special. The Guarneri's have something that no other loudspeaker has. Magic? Perhaps. We consider this Guarneri Tradition the best of all Guarneri's. The sound is noticeably cleaner and faster than the older series, and the soundstage is truly enormous. The bass reproduction is also very pure and very well articulated. The Sonus Faber Guarneri Tradition is a very successful continuation of the Homage series and the best Guarneri to date, and perhaps the finest Sonus Faber ever built.
