General: Beautiful set of monitors from the Danish Dynaudio. These speakers deliver a surprisingly impressive performance despite their compact size.

Technical: Dynaudio designs all their speaker units themselves, including the Excite X18. All frequencies up to 2000Hz are handled by an Esotec+ woofer with a diameter of 17cm. The cone is made from one piece of MSP (Magnesium silicate polymer) which is extremely rigid. Above 2000Hz, the Esotec+ tweeter takes over. This tweeter is also developed by Dynaudio. It features a 27mm soft dome with a special coating.

Listening: As the name suggests, these speakers sound pleasantly dynamic. The Dynaudio Excite X18 are highly rhythmic speakers, particularly excelling with percussion, plectrum strikes and other transients. The soundstage is also consistently focused without losing depth. Beyond these "Exciting" qualities, they also handle a relaxing evening of jazz listening without fatigue. This set has been used minimally, is in excellent condition, and comes complete with the original packaging.
