General : The Antipodes EX is a fully integrated Pure Audio server/streamer with Roon server and player software installed, and built-in discrete ODAPS2 power supply and D/A Converter. With this model, the older ODAPS2 power supply has been removed and completely replaced with the latest and improved OLADRA power supply, comparable to the Antipodes S60 PSU.

The Antipodes EX is best used as a standalone Roon device, you can use the EX on its own as RoonServer and RoonReady Player or place it as a Player behind a server. It is possible to use the Antipodes EX OLADRA as RoonServer with an external player behind it, but this is not recommended since the Antipodes EX OLADRA sounds best as a standalone device or as a player.

Even today it is one of the best sounding streamers on the market in its price range, especially for a competitive second-hand price for this upgraded OLADRA version of the Antipodes EX. This Antipodes EX OLADRA has been sent to Antipodes Audio in New Zealand for an official OLADRA upgrade, with this upgrade the power supply has been replaced with the latest OLADRA power supply. The latest Antipodes software version (V4.4.0.) is installed.

You are not required to use Roon, the Antipodes EX OLADRA can also be used with the following software :

Server Software Options : RoonServer, Squeezebox Server, MinimServer, MiniDLNA, Sonos Server, Plex Media Server and HQplayer Server.

Player Software Options : RoonReady, Squeezelite, MPD/DLNA, HQplayer, Spotify Connect, Shairport

Technology : The Antipodes EX is built in a very heavy and stable CNC machined solid aluminum chassis. The EX chassis consists of 4 separate chambers. The wiring, power supply, switch and SSD disks are now completely separated.

Storage : The Antipodes EX comes standard without storage for music. You can easily install an SSD yourself (up to 4Tb) and configure it. Ohm-Audio B.V. provides support when needed, you can also purchase an SSD from us, then we will install it in the Antipodes EX OLADRA before you receive it.

Outputs : The Antipodes EX has 2 audio outputs. First, there is the most commonly used USB Pure Audio output. An optimized output with its own regulated power supply voltage. Very important because the USB output of the Antipodes EX OLADRA powers the USB input of your DAC. In addition, the Antipodes EX OLADRA has a set of unbalanced analog RCA audio outputs. This is for functionality or handy for people with, for example, a headphone amplifier, so the EX can also play directly on integrated amplifiers, but we recommend using the high-quality USB output with an external DAC. The Antipodes EX OLADRA is not a streamer/DAC where much attention has been spent on the DAC. The DAC sounds good, but you won't get the most out of your Antipodes EX OLADRA with it.

Audio Formats : The Antipodes EX OLADRA plays all existing music formats, such as MP3, AAC, ALAC, FLAC, WAV, DSD up to DSD512 and MQA decoding.
