Technical : The DCS Puccini is truly packed with technical highlights. First and foremost, it is an excellent CD/SACD player. A solid cd/sacd transport mechanism with a metal tray. Secondly, the DCS Puccini has external digital inputs, allowing it to function as a DA Converter for external sources. Thirdly, the Puccini has a built-in DSD Upsampler, which upsamples all signals to DSD. Finally, the Puccini has a built-in preamplifier to directly connect power amplifiers. The DA converter is a proprietary DCS development, the 5 bit Ringdac. The built-in clock is of a very high level, but the DCS Puccini is elevated to a completely different level through the DCS U-Clock. This takes over the clock function of the Puccini, and moreover, the U-Clock can externally clock additional digital devices. The DCS Puccini U-Clock is a very special and excellent-sounding audio source.

Listening : On its own, the Puccini already sounds very good. A truly High End reproduction level. Very analog-sounding, with excellent spatial representation, and all details are very easy to follow. The character of the reproduction is very analog. You might almost think it can't get better, until you activate the U-Clock which takes over the clock function. Suddenly the reproduction grows in all dimensions, and not in a minor way. This is truly reproduction at a very high level. This DCS Puccini + U-Clock is one of the latest versions, is in like-new condition and comes with the original packaging and all accessories, including the optional heavy metal remote control.
