Overview : The Gigawatt LC-1 MK3+ powercord was the entry-level powercord from Gigawatt from Poland. It is the successor to the Gigawatt LC-1 MK3 because Gigawatt had decided to use a better and purer copper formula for the conductors. The cable is fully multi-layer shielded and equipped with high-quality connectors. This high-quality powercord is very suitable for hifi and video components, and the Gigawatt Powerstrips and Powerconditioners also perform excellently with this cable.

Technical : The Gigawatt LC-1 MK3+ consists of 3 solid core pure OFHC copper conductors. OFHC stands for Oxygen Free High Conductivity, this is copper with a 99.997% purity. That the conductors are solid core means that the conductors consist of 1 piece of copper, so no twisted thin wires. The thickness of the conductors is 1.5mm² per conductor. In addition to the phase, neutral and ground, there is also an uninsulated tinned wire for contact with the shielding foil over the entire length of the cable. This ensures that the aluminium shielding of the cable is actively connected to the ground, which helps better discharge noise from the conductors and actively shield against external noise. The insulation of the LC-1 MK3+ is made of Polyethylene and the vibration damping layer is made of PVC. The LC-1 MK3+ powercord is completely shielded inside with a layer of aluminium foil. The 3 bundles are then combined in a PVC insulation jacket for stability and vibration damping. The very low impedance of the cable makes the LC-1 MK3+ suitable for better Hifi and High End audio and Video installations. The connection plugs are the Gigawatt G-010N and G-030N connectors, made of pure OFC copper and protected with a nickel coating layer.
