The Gigawatt PC-3 SE Evo is the Special Edition version of the outstanding Gigawatt PC-3 Evo. Designed as a Reference 3 Zone Power Conditioner with 6 outputs. The Gigawatt PC-3 SE Evo features the most advanced power purification circuits that exist, and protects your system against overload. It is the perfect power supply for any Hifi, High-End and Video system. Unlike the Powerplants of some competitors, the Gigawatt PC-3 SE Evo itself consumes hardly any power, just a few watts. A competitor Powerplant that must deliver 500 Watt also consumes about 500 Watts itself, becomes hot, and wears out. Your Gigawatt Evo series Power Cleaner has no such problems, consumes hardly any power and has minimal wear.

Power Cord

The Gigawatt PC-3 SE Evo is supplied in the Netherlands with the Gigawatt LC-2 MK3 Power Cord, the Gigawatt LC-3 MK3 Power Cord, or the Gigawatt LS-1 Power Cord. You can choose all versions in the webshop. The power cord is very important. It is the supply to the Power Cleaner and there should be no loss in it. Gigawatt supplies extremely good power cords, suitable for the Evo series Power Conditioners.

Technology

The Gigawatt PC-3 SE Evo is equipped with advanced Multi Stage Parallel filters (Super MMS Filtering Cores) instead of the usual transformers.

This Gigawatt PC-3 SE Evo also features 3 separate zones. A separate zone for Digital devices (CD players, DA Converters, Streamers), a separate zone for low power Analogue (Preamplifiers, Phono preamplifiers, Turntables) and a separate zone for High Power Analogue (Amplifiers, Power Amplifiers). The advantage of this is that the connected devices can no longer interfere with each other. A power amplifier tends to send power back into the grid, and this is prevented in this way. The Gigawatt PC-3 SE Evo is made of very high quality components. Due to the new high efficiency filter circuits, the components are mounted on new boards, soldered with silver solder. The circuit boards themselves are double-sided, and provided with 280 um thick copper traces which are silver-plated. The power distribution is carried out via heavy polished and silver-plated copper bars and the internal wiring is executed as silver-plated OFC copper, insulated with Teflon, sourced from the Gigawatt LC-2 MK3 Power Cable. The Gigawatt PC-3 SE Evo has a special protection system, implemented without wires or fuses. Fuses affect the signal speed, and are therefore not used. The overvoltage protection circuit is controlled by a sensor at the input, and is equipped with a Plasma relay. This way the Gigawatt PC-3 SE Evo offers your system excellent protection against overvoltage or power surges.

Proper functioning of the Gigawatt PC-3 SE Evo is indicated by a LED Voltage Display on the front. This shows exactly the incoming voltage. The Gigawatt PC-3 SE Evo also has an additional circuit that monitors the power supply. Also very handy is the Phase indication, by means of a red LED on the rear. If it lights up, then the PC-3 SE Evo is connected incorrectly and you must reverse the power plug. This way your system is always connected to the correct phase and the Gigawatt PC-3 SE Evo functions as it should. The Gigawatt PC-3 SE Evo has power distribution bars made of solid OFC copper, which are then silver-plated and polished. The Gigawatt PC-3 SE Evo is equipped with 6 high quality silver-plated Gigawatt G-040 Schuko outlets. These outlets are equipped with heavy brass bars, which at Gigawatt are silver-plated and polished. The large contact surface and the heavy silver layer guarantee a very long service life, even with repeated plugging and unplugging of the plugs. The Gigawatt PC-3 SE Evo is built in a heavy and stable metal enclosure, has a solid anodized aluminum front, and stands on anti-resonance feet.

Power Buffer

In addition to the fast and compact power storage technology used in the PF-1 and PF-2 Powerstrips, and the PC-1 Evo, the PC-3 SE Evo has 3 extra large storage buffers (Double Buffer High Capacity Power Banks). Each zone has its own buffers. The major advantage is an additional increase in speed and power for your connected equipment, and an even better separation between the 3 zones. The PC-3 SE Evo therefore sounds cleaner, more open and more powerful.
