Gigawatt PF-2 MK2

General

The Gigawatt PF-2 MK2 is the Top Line 6-outlet Power Strip by Gigawatt. Designed as a power distribution point (Power strip) for high-end audio and video installations. The Gigawatt PF-2 MK2 features many advanced power purification circuits, designed for the Evo series Power Conditioners, and protects your installation against overload. There are no current-limiting components, such as fuses, but rather large pure copper distribution bars, which prevents any bottleneck effect. The dynamics of your system remain optimal. The Gigawatt PF-2 MK2 is the optimal power strip for every high-end audio and video installation.

The power cord to the PF-2 MK2 is very important. It is the supply to the power cleaner and there must be no loss there. The better the cable, the better the PF-2 MK2 performs. Gigawatt provides extremely good power cords, suitable for the Evo series Power Conditioners.

You can order the different variants in the webshop. We can also supply the Gigawatt PF-2 MK2 with a different cable length as standard. You can specify this when placing your order. This will then be specially ordered and made for you.

Despite the fact that the Gigawatt PF-2 MK2 is a competitively priced Top Line Power Strip by Gigawatt, it is the best power strip for all your equipment. You will be amazed at the performance gain compared to another power strip. The Gigawatt PF-2 MK2 is very solidly built, entirely of metal.

Technology

The Gigawatt PF-2 MK2 is primarily built as a high-end power strip, with heavy copper distribution bars, to supply your system with power without resistance. The current distribution bars are made of polished Cu-ETP copper. The outlets are mounted directly on the copper bars. The connection geometry is entirely based on the Star principle. All connection outlets are provided with the same length of copper. The bars used are a generous 4.0mm2 thick, and the wiring used is 3.0mm2. The contacts themselves are the very expensive Gigawatt G-040 Shuko plug contacts. These outlets are equipped with heavy brass bars, which at Gigawatt are silver-plated and polished.

The large contact surface and the heavy silver coating guarantee a very long lifespan, even with repeated plugging and unplugging of plugs.

In addition to the optimal power distribution, there is an extra heavy parallel filter construction in the Gigawatt PF-2 MK2. This is to suppress small power disturbances, without affecting the speed of the current. The Gigawatt PF-2 MK2 also features a blue Power LED to indicate whether the outlets are powered and you can safely insert your plugs. The Gigawatt PF-2 MK2 also has a red Phase LED, which indicates whether you have inserted the plug correctly. If the red phase LED lights up, you should insert the connection plug the other way around. If the phase LED still lights up, then you have a grounding problem. Your outlet has no or poor grounding. The Gigawatt PF-2 MK2 has special overload protection through Ultra MOV Varistors. Overload cannot occur and your valuable high-end system is guaranteed to be immune to lightning strikes and the like. This protection circuit also does not affect the speed of the current. However good the Gigawatt PF-1 MK2 may be, the Gigawatt PF-2 MK2 is clearly better in every respect.
