Technical : The Magico S3 MK2 is the successor to the Magico S3 MK1. The Magico S3 MK1 was already groundbreaking in terms of performance for its size, and in general. It was almost unimaginable that the performance of a Magico S3 could be improved further. Yet Magico has managed to improve performance considerably. First, there is an entirely new tweeter. The Beryllium tweeter has received an additional Diamond coating on the inside. The purity has increased, and the resonance peaks have been reduced. The high frequency reproduction is now more relaxed. The midrange driver of the S3 MK2 is made of Graphene, a material that didn't even exist 10 years ago. Graphene is lighter, denser and stiffer than nanotech, and the performance in the midrange has improved considerably. You hear more dynamics, but also here again, more composure. The woofers are also now made of composite Graphene, and the enclosure is still closed. However, the top plate is now machined on the tube side and on the inside to reduce reflections and avoid standing waves even more in the cabinet. The inside is thus hollowed out. Below the S3 MK2 is also a machined heavy aluminum plate for more stability. The Magico S3 MK2 is the largest loudspeaker made from a single piece of aluminum in the world.

Listening : Sonically, the Magico S3 MK2 really leaves nothing to be desired. If the Magico S3 was already the top of its segment, the S3 MK2 is clearly better. Even more openness, purity, and dynamics but also composure and musicality. Even when playing quite loud, the Magico S3 MK2 remains unshakably musical, neutral, never harsh and always pure. We dare to say that the Magico S3 MK2 is again groundbreaking in its segment, and far beyond. You really don't need more, and you probably never will. Technique : The Magico S3 MK2 is the follow up of the Magico S2 MK1. The Magico S3 MK1 already was groundbreaking with it's stunning preformances, especially for it's size, and also just in general. It was almost unimaginable that the preformance of the Magico S3 could be topped. And yet, Magico has succeeded to take the preformance another step higher. First thing is the new tweeter, they gave the Beryllium tweeter a diamond coating on the inside. This increased the purity of the sound and weakened the resonance peaks. The high notes now sound more relaxed and open. The midrange unit of the Magico S3 MK2 is made of composite graphene, it's a material which didn't even exist about 10 years ago. Graphene is lighter and more dense and stiff than Nanotech. The preformance this midrange unit has also passed the preformance of it's predecessor. The midrange is more dynamic and detailled, but just like the high notes, it's also more relaxed. The woofers are also made from composite Graphene, and the enclosure is still fully closed. They now machined the top side on the outside and the inside, so it's now round at the top, and hollow on the inside. They have done this to get rid of reflections and resonances on the inside of the enclosure. On the bottom side of the loudspeaker they also mounted a massive machined aluminium plate for more stability. The Magico S3 MK2 is the largest loudspeaker in the world with a body made out of one piece of aluminum.

Sound : The Magico S3 MK2 doesn't leave much more to desire. The Magico S3 MK1 already was one of the best in it's segment, but the S3 MK2 is clearly better. It's more open, more detailled, more dynamic but also more relaxed and musical. Even if you like to play really loud, the Magico S3 MK2 never loses it's grip, it stays detailled and neutral. We dare to say that the Magico S3 MK2 is again groundbreaking in it's segment, and even beyond. You don't need more than this, probably ever. The Magico S3 MK2 is one of the best loudspeakers with a normal size in the world in our opinion.
