Description : 3 Way planar speaker with 160cm ribbon tweeter. This set is in excellent condition and completely complete.

Technical : The Magnepan MG 3.6R is a planar speaker with a Planar Bass and Midrange panel and a Ribbon Tweeter. The Magnepan MG 3.6R has a pronounced 4 ohm impedance and is therefore relatively easy to drive. However, a good 100 watt very good amplifier is recommended since the efficiency is relatively low. It is a dipole speaker and therefore the Magnepan MG 3.6R radiates as much energy forwards as backwards. Some space around the MG 3.6R is therefore a requirement. Due to the absence of a cabinet and the fact that the moving parts are ultra light, the sound is extremely clean, clear and pure. Better than just about every cone speaker.

Listening : The Magnepan MG 3.6R is extremely dynamic, clear and open. Extremely pure sounding as well. The 3D image is also fantastic. Truly impressive. You can listen to them very softly in the evening while the impact remains undiminished, and you won't miss any detail. The Bass reproduction is also exceptional. No boomy bass but the purest bass you can imagine. Optionally, the Magnepan 3.6R can be expanded with 2 Magnepan DWM panels, for true enthusiasts who love organ music etc. The Magnepan 3.6R is a joy to listen to without ever causing listening fatigue. For the money, in our opinion no better speaker can be found. Impossible.
