General : Reference CD player from Japanese Marantz. Very solidly and durably built, with beautiful sound and versatile connections and features. The ideal CD player for your home.

Technical : The Marantz SA-10 is extremely solidly built and features a reliable and versatile transport mechanism. The chassis is made of heavy aluminum plates and the interior is fully copper-plated, which is why the Marantz SA-10 weighs a healthy 18.4 kg. The SACDM-3 transport was specially developed for the Marantz SA-10. This transport not only plays CDs and SACDs, but also DVDs. You also have the option to play from an external USB stick or external USB drive via the USB-A input on the rear. You can also connect another digital device such as a streamer via a coax cable to the coax input and a television via the optical input. There is also a USB-B input where you can connect a computer or USB streamer. The USB-B input accepts all PCM, DXD and DSD formats up to DSD256. The Marantz SA-10 is therefore extremely versatile. The Marantz SA-10 converts all incoming formats to DSD256. PCM signals pass through a digital filter during conversion (one of the two FIR filters present). The user can adjust the noise-shaping, dither and roll-off to their personal preference.

Listening : The Marantz SA-10 is a precision player. The old, friendly and warm Marantz sound is nowhere to be found in the SA-10. However, the Marantz SA-10 does not sound digital or technical; there is a sense of control in the sound. Piano tones and plectrum plucks on guitar strings sound clear and sparkling but not exaggerated. You could simply say that the Marantz SA-10 articulates well, as it should. Listener fatigue is also not an issue with the Marantz SA-10 because of the aforementioned control that is still well present in the sound, providing a pleasant listening experience. The bass is tight, fast and powerful. The spatial imaging is large and refined, and the voices and instruments have a realistic feel, providing a highly engaging listening experience full of emotion, whichever recording you listen to. This Marantz SA-10 is in pristine condition and comes complete with original packaging and accessories. This Marantz SA-10 guarantees many more years of musical pleasure in your home.
