The Antipodes K50 is the latest Reference Streamer from Antipodes Audio New Zealand, optimized for ROON, and the K50 features the latest state-of-the-art technology in digital audio music servers & streamers. The K50 implements all new technologies delivered by the Antipodes OLADRA Project. Refinement, three-dimensionality, dynamics, timbre and resolution are exceptionally good and this is presumably the best-sounding music server/streamer worldwide. The Antipodes K50 technically goes completely out of its way to allow you to fully experience the emotional impact of the original recording.

Dual Mainboard, Triple Engine : The Antipodes K50 has three separately powered and isolated computing engines and 2 separate mainboards. This is completely unique and greatly benefits sound quality. First, there is the powerful computer engine enabling the Server Apps to effortlessly process a vast music library, reconstruct internet streams to restore the sound quality of the original file, process DSP functions without quality loss, and send the cleanest possible stream to the Player app. Second, there is the advanced player engine with its own mainboard to run the selected player app, to operate the exceptionally good USB audio output and to power the separate Reclocker. Finally, there is the completely new, fully isolated reclocking engine for exceptional performance from the digital SPDIF, AES3 and I2S outputs. The built-in clock in the reclocker is a femtoclock with excellent precision, less than 1 picosecond. Place your own SSDs in the K50 or have them installed by your Hi-Fi dealer up to a maximum of 24TB! Add USB drives to play directly from them. Add music files located elsewhere on your network. Upload music files anywhere on your network. Add internet streaming services such as Qobuz and Tidal. Connect an Antipodes K10 Ripper to import music from your CDs. All easily configurable by the user to form a single integrated music library available to all selected playback solutions. Simply select the playback solutions you want to use from the world's best suppliers of advanced digital audio software. Stream via direct Ethernet connection, USB audio, SPDIF, AES3 or I2S to your DA Converter and stream simultaneously via your network to streaming devices. Configure and control everything from your desktop, laptop, tablet or smartphone.

Servers : The Antipodes K50 is a universal music server/streamer designed to optimally and very easily play your stored music files and music files from Tidal or Qobuz. You can choose from a number of servers and players. However, we at Ohm-Audio BV recommend, for optimal music experience, choosing Roon server, because of its excellent control and music quality. Roon Server requires a player, which can be RoonReady, running on the K50, but you can also choose Squeezelite or HQ player. These sound somewhat different, somewhat more dynamic, somewhat more open perhaps, but the choice is yours. Once set, the K50 remembers the choice and you only need to switch the machine on and off.
