The Antipodes S20 is the new reclocker / signal converter that can be added to any Antipodes music server with a USB audio 2.0 output. The reclocking engine of the Antipodes S20 is the same as that used in the Antipodes K50. The Antipodes S20 is powered by a standard external switched mode power supply, but the current flows via an internal HSL50 regulator to provide the reclocker with clean power. Performance can be further upgraded by powering it with an Antipodes S60 power supply. Most used in High End Audio is the USB 2.0 Audio output. However, USB audio can be negatively affected by revisions of the USB standard, and the noise introduced by the use of Ethernet is equally concerning. Therefore, the High Power Antipodes streamers also have a special USB output with its own power supply, and a dedicated second UTP port to deliver the data stream without the intervention of audiophile or non-audiophile switches to players with a streamer board. The Antipodes S20 is an excellent solution to all possible problems that may be generated by the USB output, but above all the Antipodes S20 is a DATA converter to other standards, SPDIF over RCA and BNC and AES/EBU, but also I2S. The I2S is configurable for most DACs with I2S on the market. The USB input of the S20 is electronically completely isolated from the reclocker circuit and then outputs the re-clocked signals to the S20 outputs with extreme precision. The Antipodes Audio has an excellent clock on board, a Femto clock. This Femto clock is also output via a Word clock output on BNC. With this you can external clock your DAC, provided of course it is available on your DAC.
