General : Highly musical CD player by Musical Fidelity from 2002.

Technical : The chassis of the Musical Fidelity Nu-Vista 3D is completely sealed and solid. The uniquely styled front is made of solid aluminium and features a 24K gold plated section in the middle where the robust CD drawer is integrated. The bottom plate inside is made of copper, and the CD transport housing is also made of copper. The power supply is dual-configured with two toroidal transformers; additionally, various circuits are placed on different circuit boards to reduce interference between different circuits. The CD transport is from Sony and the internal DAC uses 24-bit Burr-Brown DAC chips. All CD data is upsampled to 96kHz. Also noteworthy is the use of a small 6CW4 nuvistor tube, a very small tube in a metal housing instead of glass, originally designed for military use. This tube has an extremely long lifespan and produces minimal heat and noise.
