General : The Ansuz Acoustics Jumperz D3 is the successor to the Jumperz D2 Bi-Wire Jumpers from Ansuz Acoustics in Denmark. The new Jumperz D3 now belongs to the Copper Series of Ansuz Acoustics. The Copper Series from Ansuz is called the Copper Series because the gold-plated connectors are housed in a solid copper enclosure. The predecessor of the Jumperz D3, the Jumperz D2, had connectors in an aluminum enclosure. And for Ansuz Acoustics, that's a problem. Audio Group Denmark (under which Ansuz falls) is constantly investigating different materials. Titanium, Copper, Stainless Steel, and even Zirconium are frequently used. Ansuz is working to completely avoid aluminum in its new products. Aluminum has a negative effect on sound quality, it creates an artificial tone due to its resonance behavior and induces hysteresis. Instead of solving the problems caused by aluminum later, Audio Group Denmark chose to address the problem at its source and no longer use aluminum in its products. The solid-core conductors are silver-plated and are custom cut and stripped by a special machine to avoid damaging the conductor surface. In addition to the main conductors, additional conductors are also applied which are wound in a double inverted helix pattern around the main conductors. These conductors are called Double Inverted Helix Coils (DIHC). The Ansuz Jumperz D3 features a larger amount of DIHC compared to the Jumperz C3, A3, and X-TC3. The conductors are effectively shielded with Teflon and tinned copper mesh. The cables are stiff and rigid for better mechanical stability and less resonance in the conductors. Yet the conductors are also easy to handle and bend, and thanks to the convenient 40cm length, the Ansuz Jumperz D3 can be used with many speakers.

In most cases, the standard jumpers supplied with Bi-Wire speakers are of moderate quality, which means sound quality is not optimal. With the Ansuz Jumperz D3, you get much more out of your Bi-Wire speakers. The Ansuz Jumperz D3 ensure optimal signal transmission between the connections for the mid/treble and bass connections on the speakers.

If you have the speaker cable in the LF connections of your speakers, the Bi-Wire jumpers ensure that the drivers for the midrange and treble receive their signal. As soon as you use the Ansuz Jumperz D3 instead of the standard supplied jumpers, several things immediately stand out. The midrange/treble area becomes less murky, less restless, and more details are audible with more depth in the soundstage. The music becomes more pleasant to listen to, but at the same time you hear more than before. Echoes fade deeper away and voices and instruments sound more organic and refined. The Jumperz D3 provide more space, refinement, beauty, and silence compared to the Jumperz C3.

If you have the speaker cable in the HF connections of your speakers, the Bi-Wire jumpers ensure that the bass drivers receive their signal. As soon as you use the Ansuz Jumperz D3 instead of the standard supplied jumpers, several things immediately stand out. The bass response becomes tighter and more musical. The overall sound gains more 'drive' and rhythm without becoming restless. Particularly with 2-way speakers where the bass woofer also picks up a large portion of the midrange, the musical improvement is clearly audible when you connect the Ansuz Jumperz D3 in this way. The low and midrange tones become cleaner, more natural, and smoother. Overall, it articulates simply better and listening to music is a more pleasant experience. The Jumperz D3 provide a more energetic yet less resonant bass response with more definition compared to the Jumperz C3.
