EN.
General: Large 2-Way High End Magnetostatic speakers from Analysis Audio.

Technology: The Analysis Audio Amphitryon are handcrafted in Greece, the cabinet is solid HDF and they have a very special yet calm appearance. A design that looks very nice for magnetostatic planar speakers. The Analysis Audio Amphitryon are not the easiest speakers to drive in terms of specifications, but once connected to a good quality amplifier with some power (including tube amplifiers) you will notice that everything becomes easier and smoother than expected. This is due to the very stable impedance and the wide range of the impressive 2-meter high ribbons, where the sound is directed much more forward than with cones and dome tweeters and in comparison remains louder and more stable as you sit further away, moreover, if you play a standard speaker and the Analysis Audio Amphitryon both at 86dB from 1 meter distance, then at 4 meters distance the standard speaker plays 74dB and the Analysis Audio Amphitryon still 80dB. This is a difference of 6dB, or 2 times as loud as the standard speaker. This also results in a smoother 6dB per octave crossover where the low, mid and high tones at distance are more in balance and sound the way they should.

Listening: The Analysis Audio Amphitryon sound very refined and detailed and especially very noble. These Amphitryons deliver an enormous cloud with beautiful and dynamic music. The Analysis Audio Amphitryon never sounds aggressive, always sensitive. The bass goes much deeper than some cone speakers and remains crystal clear. You can safely sell your subwoofer. The soundstage of the Analysis Audio Amphitryon is huge. Enormously large and lively, everything is placed exactly in the right spot and the Analysis Audio Amphitryon give a truly live experience. Once connected to a good set and placed in the right room, the Analysis Audio Amphitryon really come alive and deliver an unprecedented breathtaking listening experience every time you settle in front of these high-end giants. The Analysis Audio Amphitryon are extremely good, durable and very exclusive. At this price you won't easily find anything better, there is a very good chance that you will never want to get rid of them. Analysis Audio speakers are virtually indestructible.
