General: The X6 is the largest model in the most affordable X-series from Danish high-end brand Børresen Acoustics. The X-series from Børresen Acoustics sets new standards in sound quality and musicality in its price range. The Børresen X6 is an innovative 2.5-way floor-standing loudspeaker with a tall, narrow and stylish cabinet. The X-series from Børresen Acoustics is the most affordable line of Børresen Acoustics, more affordable than the expensive C-series, T-series and M-series, yet no compromises have been made on quality. And you hear that immediately.

Technical Details: The Børresen X6 has a very well-thought-out design. The black baffle is made of HDF and features a clean, screw-free design with carbon accents. The cabinet is horn-shaped, slender and deep. The drivers and crossovers are manufactured by Børresen in-house. The drivers and tweeter used are unique. The dipole planar tweeter is made from a special type of film and has a moving mass of only 0.01 grams, driven by a powerful Neodymium magnet system. The 6 pieces of 4.5" woofers consist of 3 different layers that are pressed together very rigidly. The 3 layers consist of 2 layers of spread carbon, with a layer of aramide (better known as Kevlar) in honeycomb design in the middle for reinforcement. Through the use of these materials and their rigid compression, the drivers in the Børresen X6 are extremely light and extremely rigid and free from resonances. Combined with the powerful magnet drive, this provides extremely fast acceleration of the moving units, resulting in a more realistic and refined reproduction. The materials used provide extremely low self-inductance, which means very little distortion or resonance occurs. The Børresen X6 is an open system with 8 bass reflex ports tuned to musically relevant frequencies. The tweeter has its own compartment with a ventilation port in the cabinet, so the tweeter is not affected by the pressure created by the woofers and midrange driver. The cabinet itself is made of a natural wood composite material and reinforced with carbon-fiber inserts. The total weight is 79 kg per loudspeaker.

Listening: The Børresen X6 sounds like no other speaker in its price class. So grand, controlled, so spatial and so refined and free of resonance, at any volume. Immediately it is clear that we are dealing with a very special speaker. The reproduction is very precise and realistic, yet at the same time there is an enormous sense of calm throughout. You find yourself immediately in the space where the performers are playing, be it a small studio, a large hall, or even a stadium. The Børresen X6 captures the atmosphere with great precision. The Børresen X6 can play quite loud, and even at the highest volumes the sound remains stable and pleasant to listen to. Besides high volumes, you can of course also perform very well at low volumes with the Børresen X6. Because of the very low moving mass of the ultra-light tweeter & drivers, you hear every detail clearly even when listening to quiet music at room volume and see a spatial image. The Børresen X6 is a speaker you will most likely never want to part with. Unless the C-series or T-series from Børresen Acoustics come within reach. Simply everything is present, dynamics, speed, rhythm, spatiality, and above all calm. What more could one ask for?
