General : The McIntosh MA352 is a 2 x 200 Watt integrated hybrid amplifier including an excellent Phono input for MM cartridges. MC cartridges via a step-up transformer. It also features a high-quality headphone amplifier built-in.

Technology : The McIntosh MA352 is a very stable and solidly built amplifier with distinctive technologies. The McIntosh MA352 offers 3 pairs of analog RCA inputs and 2 pairs of balanced analog XLR inputs, plus a phono input for MM cartridges. There is also a Pre Output on the MA352 for connecting a subwoofer, active speakers, or possibly a second power amplifier. On the front of the amplifier you'll find 5 buttons for tone control, allowing you to adjust the sound completely to your personal preference and/or room. The fact that the McIntosh MA352 barely heats up is due to the McIntosh-developed cooling fins on the side of the amplifier. For protection, the McIntosh MA352 features 'Power Guard' which ensures that the amplifier cannot clip, so your speakers are safe. In case of overvoltage or short circuit, the McIntosh MA352 has a fuse-free protection built in, called 'Sentry Monitor'. By not using fuses, the current is barely restricted, which benefits sound quality.

Appearance : A McIntosh device is almost always recognizable from a mile away, as is the McIntosh MA352. The MA352 features the characteristic glass panel on the front where the McIntosh logo lights up in green and where 2 analog meters with illuminated blue backgrounds are located. Below you'll find an LED display showing the volume and input, and you can also open the menu with it. For those who prefer non-illuminated equipment, the lights behind the analog meters can be switched off and the brightness of the LED screen can be easily dimmed or made brighter. In front of the glass front you'll find a chrome plate with the 12AX7A tubes, which come with individual protective cages featuring a McIntosh logo. The 12AX7A tubes have LED lights at the tube bases. These light up orange during tube warm-up and light up green when the MA352 is ready for use. These LED lights can also be easily switched on or off. And right at the front you'll find 2 large shiny buttons for volume control and menu operation and input selection. Between the 2 large shiny buttons you'll find 5 smaller, but similarly styled shiny buttons for tone control. The McIntosh MA352 is very solidly built and can drive virtually any speaker on the market. The dimensions are 44.5cm (W) x 25.1cm (H) x 44.3cm (D), the MA352 weighs 30kg.

Sound : The McIntosh MA352 has the typical McIntosh character. This means the MA352 sounds beautifully warm, detailed, and full. The difference with older McIntosh equipment lies more in the detail and tangibility of the soundstage. The McIntosh MA352 will never give too much or too little of anything. The sound is very controlled and balanced, and even at higher volumes with heavier music, the McIntosh MA352 maintains its grip and the sound remains comfortable - you won't feel compelled to rush to the volume control to turn it down. This ensures that after hours, days, weeks, months, or years you can still enjoy listening to the McIntosh MA352. Overall, there's a pleasant tube sound thanks to the tube preamplifier stage, which brings more emotion and involvement with the music.
