Overview: The new Gigawatt LC-2 EVO powercord is the latest Top Line powercord from Gigawatt. A new copper formula, now made from pure OFHC copper. Fully shielded with aluminum foil and equipped with excellent Rhodium Plated connectors. This high-quality powercord is highly suitable for many hi-fi and video components, and Gigawatt power strips and power conditioners also perform excellently with this cable.

2. The Dielectric, or the layer around the conductors
3. The Connectors on both sides
4. The outer Shielding

Gigawatt uses only pure quality in their products. The difference between all Gigawatt cables lies in the choice of materials, the amount of conductive material, the damping properties, and the shielding.

The Gigawatt LC-2 EVO consists of 7 pieces of 1.5mm² solid core pure OFHC copper cable. OFHC stands for Oxygen Free High Conductivity 99.997% copper. The Gigawatt LC-2 EVO powercord has 3 x Phase, 3 x Neutral, 1 x Ground, and 1 uninsulated tinned wire for contact with the shielding foil along the entire length of the cable. This ground wire is connected at the Schuko connector, but not at the IEC connector. This is to prevent a ground loop. Each conductor thus has 4.5mm² in cross-section. The insulation of the LC-2 EVO is made of Polyethylene and the vibration damping layer is made of PVC. The LC-2 EVO powercord is fully shielded with aluminum foil. The 3 bundles are then combined in a PVC insulation jacket for stability and vibration damping. The very low impedance of the cable makes the LC-2 EVO suitable for better Hi-Fi and High-End audio and video installations. The connection plugs are the excellent and solid Gigawatt G-010G and G-030G connectors, made of pure OFC copper and protected with a thick Rhodium coating layer for protection and optimal connection.

Listening: The Gigawatt LC-2 EVO is a cable that essentially does everything right. Beautiful dynamics combined with a pure sound image. The bass is tight and well-defined. The Gigawatt LC-2 EVO is the ideal entry cable into the better High-End Audio world, and the sound difference with the standard supplied cables is very significant. The LC-2 EVO sounds more transparent, more powerful, and more dynamic than the Gigawatt PowerSync and PowerSync Plus thanks to its use of solid-core conductors.
