Overview: The new Gigawatt LS-1 Evo+ cables are the hand-built Reference Powercords from Gigawatt. Hand-built means that these do not simply come off a roll and are fitted with connectors. Conductor by conductor, this cable is assembled. The carefully manufactured wires (Silver-plated OFHC) are inserted one by one into Teflon sleeves. The LS-1 Evo+ powercord is fully shielded and equipped with very high-quality Rhodium-plated connectors. This reference powercord is highly suitable for high-end audio equipment and power distributors/conditioners.

Gigawatt uses only pure quality in their products. The distinction between all Gigawatt cables lies in the choice of materials, the amount of conductive material, the damping properties, the shielding, and any application of Nano filters.

The Gigawatt LS-1 Evo+ consists of 8 solid core pure OFHC copper cables which are precisely silver-plated. OFHC stands for Oxygen Free High Conductivity 99.997% copper. The Gigawatt LS-1 Evo+ powercord contains 3 conductors for the Phase, 3 conductors for the Neutral, and 1 conductor for the Ground. Additionally, there is an uninsulated tinned copper wire connected to the shielding foil along the entire length, which connects the shielding to the ground to make it more effective at rejecting external noise. The shielding foil in the LS-1 Evo+ is a tinned copper foil. Each solid core conductor is 1.5mm² in cross-section, so the total for both phase and neutral is a generous 4.5mm² due to the use of multiple solid core wires per conductor. The insulation of the LS-1 Evo+ is made of Teflon, and the vibration damping layer is made of PVC. An anti-static layer has also been applied. The LS-1 Evo+ powercord is fully shielded with tinned copper foil. The conductor bundles in Teflon are again combined in a PVC insulation jacket for stability and vibration damping. The extremely low impedance of the cable makes the LS-1 Evo+ suitable for the best high-end audio installations. The connectors are the Gigawatt G-010R and G-030R connectors, made from pure Rhodium-plated OFC copper, these connectors are housed in a beautiful aluminum enclosure. The Gigawatt LS-1 Evo+ can be used with all types of equipment, digital, analog, or high current.

Listening: The Gigawatt LS-1 Evo+ is a true reference powercord. The LS-1 Evo+ cable sounds very powerful and open. It's as if a brake has been removed from the signal path. The level of refinement is extremely high. You hear details you have never heard before, and the ease with which that happens is truly remarkable. The 3D image is large, and the music is articulated very clearly and flows into the room in an easy and rhythmic manner. The LS-1 Evo+ cable is suitable for all equipment, both digital and analog. Tighter and fresher sounding amplifiers also play very well with the LS-1 Evo+, but with these amplifiers, the tight and fresh character is even slightly accentuated, making it impossible to overlook any detail.
