Overview: The new Gigawatt LS-1 Evo+ cables are the hand-built Reference Powercords from Gigawatt. Hand-built means that these are not simply pulled from a spool and assembled with connectors. Conductor by conductor, this cable is assembled. The carefully manufactured wires (Silver-plated OFHC) are inserted one by one into Teflon sleeves. The LS-1 Evo+ powercord is fully shielded and equipped with high-quality Rhodium-plated connectors. This reference powercord is ideal for high-end audio equipment and power distributors/conditioners.

• The dielectric, i.e. the layer around the conductors

• The connectors on both ends

• The construction and outer shielding

Gigawatt uses only pure quality in their products. The difference between all Gigawatt cables lies in the choice of materials, the amount of conductive material, the damping properties, the shielding, and the possible application of nano filters.

The Gigawatt LS-1 Evo+ consists of 8 solid core pure OFHC copper cables which are precisely silver-plated. OFHC stands for Oxygen Free High Conductivity 99.997% copper. The Gigawatt LS-1 Evo+ powercord contains 3 conductors for the phase, 3 conductors for the neutral, and 1 conductor for the ground. Additionally, an uninsulated tinned copper wire is connected to the shielding foil along the entire length to connect the shielding to the ground, making it more effective in rejecting external noise. The shielding foil in the LS-1 Evo+ is tinned copper foil. Each solid core conductor is 1.5mm² in cross-section, so the total for both the phase and neutral is a generous 4.5mm² due to the use of multiple solid core wires per conductor. The insulation of the LS-1 Evo+ is made from Teflon, and the vibration damping layer is made from PVC. An anti-static layer is also applied. The LS-1 Evo+ powercord is fully shielded with tinned copper foil. The conductor bundles in Teflon are wrapped together in a PVC insulation jacket for stability and vibration damping. The extremely low impedance of the cable makes the LS-1 Evo+ suitable for the finest high-end audio installations. The connector plugs are the Gigawatt G-010R and G-030R connectors, made from pure Rhodium-plated OFC copper, housed in a beautiful aluminum enclosure. The Gigawatt LS-1 Evo+ can be used with all types of equipment, digital, analog, or high current.
