General: The new Gigawatt LS-2 Evo power cable is the new top Reference High End power cable from Gigawatt. The Gigawatt LS-2 Evo is the result of more than 10 years of intensive development and listening to current influences on High End installations. The new Gigawatt LS-2 Evo is fully shielded and equipped with reference-grade connectors. This Gigawatt LS-2 Evo power cable is highly suitable for top High End installations, and the Gigawatt Evo+ Power conditioners also perform excellently with this LS-2 Evo power cable as a mains connection cable. The Gigawatt LS-2 Evo power cable is the heavier version of the LS-1 EVO, with more copper and silver, a larger and 2 x stronger magnetic flux, and the LS-2 Evo is also equipped with unique billet aluminum connectors. The Gigawatt LS-2 Evo is suitable for all components, digital and analog, and performs excellently everywhere.
Technical: The LS-2 Evo power cable is completely newly designed and made from special materials and components designed exclusively for the LS-2 Evo by Gigawatt itself. Manufacturing an LS-2 Evo Power Cable takes many hours of handwork. The LS-2 Evo Power Cable is now made from multiple clusters of single solid core wires, made from the purest copper that exists. OFC copper without contamination. The copper wires themselves are fully silver-plated and shielded with Teflon. The LS-2 Evo now has 9 conductors per core, which are bonded together with a total surface area of 11.79mm²! The specific geometry of the guided cores provides natural shielding against external influences. The 9 conductors are housed in an FEP Teflon sheath for minimal inductance. Together with the new copper shielding foil, the LS-2 Evo power cable is 100% shielded against EMI and RFI influences from outside.
The LS-2 Evo power cable is equipped with a new double-strength Passive Nano Crystal Alloy filter, placed at a measured position in the cable. This unit significantly reduces parasitic and oscillation noise. This makes the flow of electrons smoother, which is clearly audible. The connectors of each power cable are extremely important, and no compromises have been made here either. They are special Gigawatt connectors which are extremely easy to install. The connectors are housed in a milled aluminum enclosure, these connectors are Rhodium-plated and treated by demagnetization which provides optimal signal transmission with minimal inductance.
