General : The Pass Labs X1 is a balanced analog preamp distributed across 2 chassis. One chassis is the preamp itself and the other chassis houses the excellent oversized power supply for the preamp. A cable is included to send the power signal from the power supply to the preamp. The Pass Labs X1 doesn't appear often on the secondhand market, especially not in the excellent condition this X1 is in.

Engineering : The Pass Labs X1 is as straightforward as it gets. It uses very high-quality components processed in a logical and clean manner in the chassis. A large linear power supply for optimal control in its own chassis to prevent any interference between the preamp and the power supply, and an excellent volume control is implemented. The Pass Labs X1 is very logically designed and uses exclusively high-quality components; precisely because of its simplicity, this preamp excels in the ease with which it performs.

Listening : Listening to the Pass Labs X1 is a true pleasure; the spatial imaging is enormous and the sound is pleasant and refined. The sound of the Pass Labs X1 is anything but intrusive and aggressive, but that doesn't mean it sounds boring and tame. The X1 simply sounds neutral and pleasant, and very detailed and musical.

This Pass Labs X1 is in excellent condition and comes with the included power supply cable.
