General: The Ungoi Taichi Base is a mechanical decoupling system consisting of 3 parts. The bottom cup is made of stainless steel and the top cup is made of stainless steel with a carbon top layer. Between the two layers is a ceramic ball that is almost perfectly round, with a deviation of less than one thousandth of a millimeter. This ball allows the two cups to move independently of each other, thereby dissipating vibrations. The effect is that your equipment stands more freely in space, and the sound appears better defined with a blacker background.
