General : The Unison Research P40 is a high-quality integrated tube amplifier from Italy. The tube complement currently consists of 4 Psvane UK-EL34 for power amplification, 2 Mullard 12AU7/ECC82 for preamp stage and 1 Mullard 12AX7/ECC83 as driver tube. The Unison Research P40 was manufactured until 2011. It is a very solidly built amplifier, the Unison Research P40 weighs 28kg and delivers a stable 40 watts per channel. Sufficient to drive speakers with average to high efficiency. A pre output is available for driving an optional subwoofer. The Unison Research P40 can be controlled remotely via the luxurious supplied remote control.

Sound : The Unison Research P40 sounds very spacious, refined and organic. Due to the tube character, the sound is very warm and full of emotion.
