Velodyne DD-18 Digital Drive Subwoofer
The Velodyne DD-18 is a 54kg heavy subwoofer with an enormous 18" woofer. The woofer alone has a magnet weighing 11kg (!). The built-in amplifier is a 1250 watt digital amplifier, with peak power up to 3000 watts. The woofer is also equipped with a feedback system so it does exactly what it's instructed to do. Setup is completely automatic using the included measurement microphone and remote control. Place it down, press 3, 2, 1 on the remote control and the Velodyne DD-18 subwoofer calibrates itself completely. If you connect a monitor to the DD-18, you can adjust various additional settings, such as crossover frequencies, adjustment to the main speakers, filter steepness, everything can be adjusted in real time, which is very easy to do.
