General : The YG Acoustics Carmel is a compact 2-way reference loudspeaker.

Engineering : The YG Acoustics Carmel is an extremely complex loudspeaker. It is made entirely of aluminum. And of the finest quality. Stress-free aluminum panels are used for the enclosure. The rear is a CNC-machined aluminum beam, which houses the speaker terminals. The units are custom-made Scanspeak drivers. The tweeter has received a CNC-machined waveguide. The filter technology is of the highest quality and only the finest components are used, Mundorf capacitors among others. The YG Acoustics Carmel is a sealed loudspeaker, which is beneficial for the quality of bass reproduction. The bass also extends deeper than in an open system, but the bass is generally somewhat less "present", which is beneficial. The enclosure has various internal chambers which carefully respond to the energy generated inside. Damping material is not used in the large bass chamber. Only at the bottom is a resonance chamber created, which contains some damping materials. Under the YG Acoustics Carmel sits a metal plate with 3 massive spikes. The front 2 are designed to work with the included Delrin pucks. The rear spike rests directly on the floor. The YG Acoustics Carmel can be bi-wired, and good jumpers are provided by YG Acoustics. The YG Acoustics Carmel is a compact loudspeaker but it sounds like a large one.
