The Antipodes S30 is our compact entry-level music server/streamer, yet it is based on the advanced player engine used in the Antipodes K50 and K30. The only compromise made is the external power supply unit that comes as standard. This is an excellent entry-level power supply, but audio performance can be dramatically improved by adding the S60 power supply based on the HSL50. With or without the S60, the audio performance of the S30 is excellent for the respective price ranges. The Antipodes S60 power supply has 2 outputs so you can excellently power an S40 and S30, or an S30/40 with the fantastic S60 Reclocker. The Antipodes S30 has average CPU power, which allows it to handle all server apps and player apps, but audiophiles who want to use heavy DSP functions, such as Upsampling to DSD or the Roon Room Corrector, may prefer the more powerful Antipodes S40.

The Antipodes S30 is recommended for use as :

• A server / player with average power, on which both server apps and player apps are run, or
• A separate player that receives a music stream via Ethernet from a high-quality music server such as the Antipodes K40 or S40.

The Antipodes S30 comes standard with an excellent internal DAC with analog RCA outputs, allowing you to connect the S30 directly to your amplifier. The sound of this analog output is very good, detailed and musical, and it offers an elegant solution for someone who does not have a separate high-end DAC. However, a high-end DAC can be connected to the S30 USB Audio output to take the result to an even higher level. Install your own storage drive, maximum 5 TB HDD or 8 TB SSD, or have your dealer install it for you. Add USB drives for direct playback from them. Add music files located elsewhere on your network. Upload music files from any location on your network. Add internet streaming services such as Tidal or Qobuz. Connect an Antipodes K10 Ripper to import music from your CDs, which sounds best anyway. Everything is easy for the user to configure to create a clear integrated music library available to all selected playback solutions. Simply select the playback solutions you want to use from the world's best providers of advanced digital audio software.
