General: The Pro-Ject Xtension 10 is a very solid and durably built turntable. The platter alone weighs 10kg, and when you add the rest of the turntable, the total comes to as much as 26kg. This substantial weight rests on 4 magnetic isolation feet that make the entire unit float, as it were. The massive aluminium platter rotates on a ceramic bearing which reduces resonances for stable and clean playback. The tonearm is a high-quality EVO 10 CC tonearm from Pro-Ject; this thick arm features a carbon housing and uses OFC internal wiring. The tonearm is fitted with the €649 Goldring Eroica LX, an excellent MC cartridge with a Neodymium magnet and Gyger II diamond stylus.

Listening: The Pro-Ject Xtension 10 Evolution in this configuration with the EVO 10 CC tonearm and Goldring Eroica LX element is an excellent all-round turntable. High-quality and durably built, but also versatile in its sonic character.
