General :

The Antipodes DS GT is the newest and incredibly well-sounding high-end audio streamer from Antipodes New Zealand. Connect to network, power, and your DA Converter or amplifier, and start playing.

Technology :

The Antipodes DS GT runs on the latest mainboards specially customized for Antipodes, with a very extensive external and internal power supply. In particular, the external power supply is clearly better than that of the DS Base. It is the new ODAPS power supply from Antipodes which is also built into the DX Reference server. The entire signal path that the digital signal travels from storage to the digital outputs has been completely optimized for high-end audio playback. Ultra-low noise levels in the power lines, and a highly optimized software section and firmware. The DS GT has dedicated SSD storage standard on board where all the software and music library is stored. Antipodes uses professional SSD drives which you cannot buy in the store, and Antipodes writes their own Firmware for them. All of this to generate optimal and reliable data flow for the digital outputs. The mainboard firmware has been further customized, and additional RAM has been installed. A CD Ripper is also built in. All your CDs are automatically ripped in the highest possible quality.

Software :

The Antipodes streamers all run with the latest software suite from Antipodes. This includes an App switcher to switch from Squeeze Box Server to ROON Ready. Roon is by far the finest and best sounding server software and has the most beautiful and intuitive control app for your iPad, iPhone, Android devices, or PCs and laptops. Making backups is also easy. Connect a USB drive with sufficient capacity and press backup. It can be that simple.

The sound quality of the Antipodes DS Base is excellent, but the DS GT is clearly better. Tighter, more open, and more details. You will experience a new dimension compared to the most common other server brands. It is clear to hear that Antipodes, like one of the few brands in the world, knows exactly what it is doing. The standard analog outputs are of good quality, but for true high-end playback, you should of course connect the Antipodes DS GT to the best possible DAC with USB or SPDIF connection.
