General: The Sonus Faber Olympica Nova II is the improved successor to the Sonus Faber Olympica 2.

Technical: The Sonus Faber Olympica Nova II is a completely new speaker. The Sonus Faber Olympica Nova II is now made from solid wood panels that are shaped in a mold. The distinctive asymmetrical cabinet is complex and is bent into the correct shape in one go in the press. The Stealth bass reflex port is special and delivers full, deep and pure bass without bass boom. The Nova series can also be placed relatively close to the wall. The units themselves are also new and made in Italy. The woofers have a light cellulose cone, set in high-tech foam, and are driven by a very powerful magnet. So a sandwich cone. The tweeter is a silk dome with an apex point to suppress resonances. The tweeter also has a large resonance chamber behind the magnet, so the tweeter can play quite deep. The midrange cone is made from slowly dried paper and has a copper aluminum coil in the drive. The components in the crossover filter are also of very high quality. All units are mounted in the real leather-covered front. Under the cabinet are stainless steel rods with very good spikes. The new Sonus Faber Nova series is a special product. Luxurious and handmade in Italy.

Listening: We have listened extensively to the new Nova series. They sound truly beautiful. The Sonus Faber Olympica Nova II sounds noticeably even more elegant than the already excellent Olympica series. Overall build and sound quality advance considerably towards the Sonus Faber Hommage series. The Sonus Faber Olympica Nova II initially sounds directly musical. Out of the box they already sound relaxed, fine-grained and beautifully dynamic. After some break-in time the bass becomes increasingly beautiful and deeper. The beauty of the Sonus Faber Olympica Nova II is that it sounds immediately comfortable, you don't need to get used to it, and that combined with musical tension and fine grain. The new Nova series also sounds fast and very open. We call this musical. You can listen to the Sonus Faber Olympica Nova II evening after evening without any trace of listener fatigue. The Sonus Faber Olympica Nova II is not only a very beautiful piece of furniture but also a music maker in your home. Ohm-Audio has the new Nova 1, Nova 2, Nova 3 and Nova 5 ready to listen to. Bring your favorite CDs and come listen to this beautiful new range of Sonus Faber speakers.
