General: The Ansuz Acoustics Speakz D3 is the latest speaker cable from the D-series of Ansuz Acoustics from Denmark. The Ansuz Speakz D3 replaces the Speakz D2. The new Speakz D3 is the top model speaker cable from the Copper Series and the gateway to the reference cables of Ansuz Acoustics. The Copper Series from Ansuz is called the Copper Series because the housing of the gold-plated connectors and cable splitter blocks are made of solid copper. The predecessor of the Speakz D3, the Speakz D2, had connectors in an aluminum housing. And for Ansuz Acoustics, that poses a problem. Audio Group Denmark (under which Ansuz falls) is constantly researching different materials. Titanium, Copper, Stainless Steel and even Zirconium are frequently used. Ansuz is working to completely avoid aluminum in its new products. Aluminum has a negative effect on the sound, it produces an artificial tone through its resonance behavior and causes hysteresis. Rather than solving the problems caused by aluminum later, Audio Group Denmark has chosen to address the problem at its source and therefore no longer use aluminum in its products. The conductors are silver-plated and stripped by a special machine to avoid damaging the conductor surface. The Ansuz Speakz D3 is a very stiffly twisted cable which reduces noise in the conductors and improves mechanical stability. In the Ansuz Speakz D3, in addition to the solid-core main conductors, 24 smaller 0.3mm² conductors are used, which are wound in a double helix pattern. These smaller conductors are called Double Inverted Helix Coils (DIHC). Additionally, in the Ansuz Speakz D3 compared to the Ansuz Speakz A3, Ansuz Anti Aerial Resonance Coils (AARC) are also applied, and compared to the Speakz C3, a double amount of AARC is applied in the Speakz D3. Because the Ansuz Speakz D3 also has the AARC technology, less noise enters your equipment compared to the Ansuz Speakz A3, X-TD3 and X3. The Ansuz Speakz D3 is handmade in the factory of Audio Group Denmark in Aalborg, Denmark.

Reference Techniques: The Ansuz Speakz D3 also features Active Cable Tesla Coils, the active Tesla Coils are 3-4 times more effective than the passive Tesla Coils of Ansuz Acoustics. However, the active Tesla Coils need to be powered before they can do their job. For this purpose, a copper block with a 3.5mm jack input is attached to the Ansuz Speakz D3. By means of the included jack cables, you can connect the Speakz D3 to an Ansuz PowerSwitch or Ansuz PowerBox. This is not mandatory for the Speakz D3, but highly recommended if you want to make optimal use of the cable. Additionally, with the Ansuz TC Linkz upgrade cables, even more can be extracted from the Speakz D3 compared to the standard included jack cables. The Ansuz Speakz D3 is already better than the Speakz C3 even without the active Tesla Coils being powered, but once connected to an Ansuz PowerSwitch or Ansuz PowerBox, the Speakz D3 takes another significant step forward in musicality, detail and spatial imaging.

Sound Characteristics: The Ansuz Acoustics Speakz D3 has a natural, powerful and spacious sound. The bass is deep, tight and rhythmic and the dynamics are excellent. Compared to the Speakz A3, the Speakz D3 and Speakz C3 have more air, more energy and more liveliness. While the amount of calmness and detail increases. But the Ansuz Speakz D3 takes another step further in quality and musicality than the Speakz C3. With the Ansuz Speakz D3, the soundstage is larger and deeper, more delineated and the soundstage is better organized and more balanced. Add to this the fact that listening to the Speakz D3 is simply more interesting, a more engaging listening experience. The Ansuz Speakz D3 is indeed another clear step better than the already excellent Speakz C3. More happens in the soundstage and you hear more layers in the recording.
