General: The Ansuz Acoustics Digitalz D3 is the latest digital interlink from the D-series of Ansuz Acoustics from Denmark. The Ansuz Digitalz D3 replaces the Digitalz D2. The new Digitalz D3 is the top model digital interlink from the Copper Series of Ansuz Acoustics. The Copper Series of Ansuz is called the Copper Series because the housing of the gold-plated connectors is made of solid copper. The predecessor of the Digitalz D3, the Digitalz D2, had connectors in an aluminum housing. And for Ansuz Acoustics, that is a problem. Audio Group Denmark (where Ansuz falls under) is constantly researching different materials. Titanium, copper, stainless steel and even zirconium are very often used. Ansuz is working to completely eliminate aluminum from its new products. Aluminum has a negative effect on the sound, it produces an artificial tone due to resonance behavior and it induces hysteresis. Rather than solving the problems caused by aluminum later, Audio Group Denmark has chosen to tackle the problem at the source and therefore no longer use aluminum in its products. The conductors are silver-plated and are stripped by a special machine to avoid damaging the conductor surface. The Ansuz Digitalz D3 is a very stiff twisted cable which ensures less noise in the conductors and improved mechanical stability, yet the cable is easy to handle. In the Ansuz Digitalz D3, in addition to the solid core main conductors, use is made of Double Inverted Helix Coils (DIHC). The Ansuz Digitalz D3 has a greater amount of DIHC compared to the Digitalz A3 and X-TC3, so even less noise enters the signal and less inductance is generated. In addition, in the Ansuz Digitalz D3 compared to the Ansuz Digitalz A3, Ansuz Anti Aerial Resonance Coils (AARC) are also applied. The conductors are effectively isolated in Teflon, which is then surrounded by a tinned copper mesh. In the case of the Digitalz D3, double isolation is even applied, while in the Digitalz A3, X-TC3 and X3, single isolation is applied. The Ansuz Digitalz D3 is handmade in the factory of Audio Group Denmark in Aalborg, Denmark.

Reference Techniques: The Ansuz Digitalz D3 also has Active Cable Tesla Coils on board. The active Tesla Coils are 3-4 times more effective than the passive Tesla Coils of Ansuz Acoustics. However, the active Tesla Coils must be powered before they do their job. For this, a block with a 3.5mm jack input is attached to the Ansuz Digitalz D3. By means of the supplied jack cable, you can connect the Digitalz D3 to an Ansuz PowerSwitch or Ansuz PowerBox. This is not mandatory for the Digitalz D3, but highly recommended if you want to use the cable optimally. Furthermore, by means of the Ansuz TC Linkz upgrade cables, even more can be extracted from the Digitalz D3 compared to the standard supplied jack cables. The Ansuz Digitalz D3 is already better than the Digitalz C3 even without the active Tesla Coils being powered, but once connected to an Ansuz PowerSwitch or Ansuz PowerBox, the Digitalz D3 takes a significant step further in terms of musicality, detail and spatial imaging.

Sound Characteristics: The Ansuz Acoustics Digitalz D3 has a natural, powerful and spatial sound. The bass is deep, tight and rhythmic and the dynamics are excellent. Compared to the Digitalz C3, the Digitalz D3 has more space, more depth and more detail. The sound is an even more interesting and refined step. Especially when you also connect the Digitalz D3 to an Ansuz PowerSwitch or PowerBox, once you have done this, the music bubble you are in becomes much more 3D. The music embraces you more and the spatial image is even quieter and more defined. The Ansuz Digitalz D3 is indeed another clear step better than the already excellent Digitalz C3. More happens in the soundscape and you hear more layers in the recording. The sound is transparent as it should be, but it is not unnecessary spectacle. This is recognizable in the Ansuz character which all Ansuz cables actually have. Everything you hear is pure music. We could talk about certain details and accents, but at Ansuz Acoustics we don't have to talk about that. Instead, we talk about the enormous musical qualities that Ansuz Acoustics products bring with them. The Ansuz Digitalz D3 is absolutely no exception to this. The spatial image is large, airy and pleasant and you are immediately engaged with the performers and the music. The time to listen to sounds is over, the time to listen to music has begun.
