General : The Melody Action SP3 Evo is the top model of the Action series from Melody, the very affordable but high-quality and musical entry-level range of the Australian brand Melody. The Melody Action SP3 Evo is very solidly built with a CNC-milled chassis which stands on special anti-resonance feet.

Technical : The Melody Action SP3 Evo has an output power of 2 x 25 Watts. The 2 pieces of 38HE7 tubes per channel work in a push-pull configuration. This power is more than sufficient for most home situations with speakers with average to high efficiency. Inside, point-to-point wiring is used, so Melody amplifiers are very durable and easy to repair if ever needed. The potentiometer for volume control is also of high quality and lasts a very long time. The tubes consist of 4 American 38EH7 power tubes, 2 per channel. For the preamplification, Melody uses 6 Melody 4JC6 triode tubes. The power tubes are protected by an easy-to-remove iron cage. The preamplifier tubes are each individually protected by a metal sleeve around each tube. The Melody Action SP3 Evo regulates its own bias, so if the tubes ever need to be replaced, it is simple work without any extra hassle.
